Visiting 1st time and want to get connected

Post new topic

My husband and I are planning our first trip to Portugal to scout it out for moving there eventually. Since we are so new at this, we would love to connect with anyone there to really get a sense of what it's like! We are looking at 10 days in September or October 2021.  Is there a Meet up or places that we can go to meet other Expats?  Our focus will be Algarve but we will probably on in the central part as well
I currently work in the beverage industry (wine & spirits) My husband is a non force Chiropractor so we want to meet people in these professions as well!

Thanks for any information!!

You can also use the magnifying glass in the top right corner of the screen to search for themes.

I also suggest you to visit this Youtube channel, particularly videos about the Douro and Alentejo regions, because they also talk about Portuguese wines. This is done by a young Danish couple living in Portugal. Their videos are well done and it's an interesting and fun viewpoint of these expats about Portugal.

Hi Gottbean,

My wife and I moved partly to Portugal from Goa and absolutely love it. We have been living in Porto since 2011 but have now bought a farm in Serpa, Alentejo. If you would like to try out something on our land, please let us know. We have lots of space and open to ideas.

Wishing you all the very best, Cheers !
