I haven't gotten any stimulus money and have gotten a tremendous amount of conflicting information from Social Security, the Treasury, and the IRS. I'm not required to file tax returns, I am required to file, it will be a paper check because I'm overseas, it will be automatically deposited electronically, etc. etc. etc.

I received the first ($1200) and the second ($600) timely by direct deposit.

I have not received the third ($1400) as yet. The last time I was required to file tax returns was in 2017 and the stimulus checks were direct deposited.

If you receive it in check form overseas, you might have difficulty cashing it. I made an error in my tax returns (in my favor) and they sent me a check. BDO wouldn't touch it with a 10 meter pole. My son used an app, snapped a picture and deposited it in my stateside account.

I have not seen it yet, even though the other two were deposited in timely fashion into my account.  I completed my 2020 taxes before the end of Feb and already received my Fed refund a couple days ago.

Received an IRS check today, was not our stimulus check, our refund from our 1040 e-filed on 2/25/21.  So at least the IRS is on the ball with refunds.  Stimulus check will be much larger, hope to get it soon.

There is an IRS website that you can check the status of your stimulus check. The first time after filling out the information (ss#, d.o.b. and address) i was block saying not authorized (probably because of my i.p. address)

The second time logging incognito I got in, the result was one of two things. (One) not eligible or (two) not enough info available.

Website said check back, updated daily.

Moderators click on link below and you can see that it is legit instead of saying it's under review.

Got mine today, direct deposit into my US bank.

Yesterday looked at Get My Payment on the IRS website, was told my wife and I would get a direct deposit into the same account where my SSA check is direct deposited every month.  Previous two checks were paper in snail mail.

My direct deposit third stimulus payment is scheduled for April 7th.

Get My Payment doesn't work for me. Haven't gotten ANY payments.

Even when it supposedly is working its always wrong. Just have to pray and wait like alot if us.

I was checking "Get My Payment" website daily and getting this paraphrased message: Not enough info available or you are not eligible. (Thank you spell checker "paraphrased", "eligible")

Finally received the message that it will be direct deposited on April 7th
(April 8th in Philippines). Yup it was directed deposited in my stateside account.

So spreading the wealth, I gave my two stepsons, my daughter-in-law and my daughter-in-laws sister who is staying with us some cash to spend on their liking.

I was concerned as everyone I knew had received their payment and in the back of my mind maybe because I did not file tax returns in 2018, 19 and 20.

The real reason is because the IRS, SS Administration and Treasury were not on the same page, so millions of us on ss were last on of the list.

My senior friend in the states received his stimulus weeks ago because he filed taxes for 2020.

1.I efile with olt.com every january.Any refund goes to credit union checking. they then dump/transmit them first day irs accepting. I never owe taxes but do it anyway for free. Now after answering 30 or forty questons they fill out the forms I click accept and transmit to irs.
2. as a result, I am then first day too second day irs paid every stimulus check. As we may be doing this again, in 2022,maybe make it a habit to do the same.
   I also get social security but do never need wait for them...or be lazy and a month behind.

mine was delayed to confirm my ID since it was a P.I. address.
it was hell getting ahold of a REAL person to ask about it, they are sending me a letter that has a number code in it and a phone number to call, i suppose they will ask for the code to link it to me then ask about my mothers maiden name and 2018 taxes and such to make sure its me. then release my direct depost.
so my waiting will start again when i make the phone call..

no letter yet..

I might suggest for the future is to get a remailer in the states. You can then use that address as your own, instead of using a P.I. address.

Also when I was trying to use the IRS website, they wanted to send an sms code to check in, but the sms code is for the states only. The website offered to send the code by mail
(to my remailer), but I didn't want to pay FedEX $46 for timely delivery. (3 to 5 days)

With the P.I. address it will be delayed months or possibly not at all.

yeah i tried to use facebook money or facebook pay or whatever its called and needed a 5 digit zip code.my bank had mine on file as 00000-0000 but that didnt work on the website,when ordering things online or even filling out many other forms a P.I. address does not fit. and i'm always getting FLAGGED FOR SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY, for one thing or another..
seems banks and ad sites like craigslist and any sites dealing with money dont trust anything do do with the philippines for some reason
