Ensenada. Close to CA border too. Getting expensive though.

Welcome to ex-pat and the Mexican part of the forum Kelassean 123,

Have you been to any beach cities in Mexico previously? If so you must know they are nothing like Hawaii.
One thing most of them have in common is that they are very hot and usually more expensive.聽 Tulum for example would be very hot and very humid. There are a number of tiny towns on the beach also but they would not have the accommodations you would want. It's actually safer living close to a larger town because the tiny towns are more isolated.
If I were you I would rent a B&B and B&B hop to different locations until you find the right fit.
