Why do you want to know the reason someone posted information?  Is it filling space on your server? I dont think we should be censoring information or telling people not to post information. If you want to live in a free world, this includes freedom of speech. If you dont like what is being said, you can comment on it or you can be quiet. We cant possibly all agree with everyone but we are lucky to be able to have this choice, unlike some people who have many freedoms taken from them.Â
This is an expat forum for expats to be informed about life in DR. I, for one welcome as much information as possible and am glad that someone posted info about murders and the cities with the highest rates. Now I know which places to stay away from... The better informed I am, the better choices I can make. As another member wrote, if you don't like reading a post about real life in DR, just simply don't read it!
Terrible. As a veteran, I'm not sure if I can live down there without LEGALLY owning and carrying a piece. Would I prefer not to? Yes. I hope to never use it, God forbid. However, I do read the stories from the police website. Link below...

@tu primo, without residency and a whole lot of waiting, hassle and money you will not get a permit to carry. I have lived here 20 years almost and I do not feel unsafe. The police tactics here can be brutal but frankly I am nowhere near where this happens.  None of us want to be in those places. Â
Living here is all about who you associate with and who you know!
