- @rentonglenn
No, because everyone who is eligible can and should use

The only exceptions to that would be if you are somehow totally uncomfortable, incapable or unwilling to use the simple government website OR you waited until a couple of days before your flight and you want to pay extra money to someone who will get your application fast-tracked

Is Vung Tau okay for Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam
Aidan in HCMC
@rentonglenn

best to pick the name of some random hotel in Vung Tau, and include their full address.

I have used a residential address for 3 consecutive Evisas . Why lie, put where you are staying.

Absolutely agree, Pogiwayne...if you know where you will be staying.

Should you not yet know where you will be staying, Rentonglenn, browse a booking site and decide which hotel you might want to stay at. There is no penalty for changing your mind, and it is the responsibility of whichever hotel you stay at to register you with the local authorities.

My friend visiting from Canada is staying at my house, and so we registered him the morning after he arrived, as temporarily residing here. He had indicated on his original e-Visa that he would stay at a local hotel, but no problem at the police station registering him here (copy of his passport, copy of his e-Visa). We were issued his stamped paper within 5 minutes.

His second e-Visa application gave my address as his residence whilst in VN, no problem. Had to register him again at the local police station.

With it looking more & more likely ( OK things can change overnight, all of us who have lived here know that) that the online e visas being the only option available I think it would make a good reading for someone WHO HAS ACTUALLY DONE THE E VISA THING share with the forum their experience. I emphasise the who has actually done it bit, not some expert trawling the internet for the answers, I think we are all savy enough to do that!

So
1………...How easy did you find the Vietnam e visa site to use & how much did it cost?
2…………When you got to the Vietnam exit border post did you experience any problems asuming you had not overstayed?
3…………If you did the border run to Cambodia did you use the Cambodia e visa site or did you get the Cambodia visa at the border crossing & how much did it cost?
4…………On exiting Cambodia & entering Vietnam on the e visa did you experience any difficulties?
5…………If you have done it multiple times on the e visa can you share your experiances with the forum?
6………...Does the e visa for Vietnam or Cambodia take up a full page on your passport like the previous visa on larrival did or is it just a stamp say like entering & exiting Thailand?
Before any smart ass ask’s, this info is not for me at the moment as I am still good to go here for another 6 months & hope by that time things Visa wise has returned to what it was in the good ol days but I am pretty sure there are some expats who who are looking to the near term that the information could be of interest & helpful.

I have received 3 evisas. And to summarize several of your questions I had no problems coming into VN. The first time had to do the Covid test on arrival. The other two no test.

I went to Cambodia each time flying. I did evisa for Cambodia and printed it out. Easy in and out of Cambodia.

For VN visa stamps I have in and out twice on one page. Third is on a separate page. Cambodia all stamps on one page.

See the official government website.

It clearly says "30 days", not 1 month.

So, if you enter Vietnam on the 7th of July, you must exit before midnight on the 6th of August.

You select your arrival date The evisa system generates your departure date. You just need to leave on or before that date.

Thanks Pogi thats, what I was hoping cos if you have to do the  visa run every month now & the visa was like before & it took basically 2 pages of your passport for each Visa one page for the visa & one for the stamps for each country the old passport would quickly fill up. When & if the time comes my plan is to take the bike to Moc Bai & do a quick turn around there but am still living in hope that the by October this goodolboy will be able to do a deal 1f60e.svg(if you get what I mean)
