HOW TO APPLY FOR LONG STAY IN MAURITIUS:

Joeleonard

Hello everyone, I am a citizen of Nigeria and I am planning a relocation to Mauritius  in January 2021.

Can the good people of this Forum explain to me how to make the move. Presently my country can travel to Mauritius Visa free but what happens when I arrive in Port Louis is what I would like to know.

Are there affordable Bed and Breakfasts in Port Louis.

I would appreciate all information that could help me in my relocation plans.

Thank you

FWIW:

You CAN'T relocate on a Tourist Visa.
You will need a RESIDENT PERMIT if you want to retire or an Occupation Permit  should you decide to work and live on the island.

A little search on the forum will edify  you since this topic is very current .

Go to "Discover" at the top of this page and open the Mauritius Guide. Heaps of relevant information there.

Thank you for your reply.
I have been checking the top of this page like you said but has not been able to to see "Discover"
Just explain to me where exactly it is at the top of the page.
Thank you

Top left hand side at the top of the page next to the ½ûÂþÌìÌà logo which is a world globe mounted in a black frame with an arrow around it.

Hello Stumpy, I have seen Discover but the write up there is not explicit enough for someone entirely new to the site and the forum as well.
The site did not give enough information to guide an applicant planning a relocation to Mauritius.
Thank you for taking me through the exact position of "Discover" on the forum page.
Have a good evening.

I suggest that you check out the nearest Mauritius Embassy website for information.
Also try a Google search for Mauritius Immigration. Plenty of information there.

Thank you so much for all your kind information.
I will go ahead and research all the information you have given me.
I do appreciate all.
