Unmarried Hotel Regulation???

Alex1237

Hello, I am from Germany would like to come visit my girlfriend she works in Riyadh as a nurse she is originally from Asia. Is it allowed that she sleeps in my hotel room or not?

I heard it is allowed for foreigners tourists but she works there how is the law?

A recent BBC report suggested the old rules were to be relaxed for foreigners, but the situation on the ground might well be different.

Religious conservatism tends to get entrenched, so rules might be discretionary. Hopefully posters there will be able to offer first hand experience.

Unfortunately, it is so not allowed. Saudi is strict on laws like that. Some do get around it from time to time, however if you are indeed caught the consequences are not worth it.

Best and safe advice is to have her meet you in Dubai.

The law has changed for tourists i.e. unmarried couples can stay in hotel rooms without issue.  However, there is no change that has been advised in the case that one of them is a resident.  In this situation, it is better to err on the side of caution.

Not allowed at all dear, don't go with any chance/hope to come here. In case hotel allow you to stay with your gf, still if Police caught you then you will be in big trouble.
