Sending moto by air Montreal - Cancun

Post new topic

giardeleanu

Hello,

I am sending my moto from Montreal to Cancun with Air Transat. The sender is asking to have a custom broker in Cancun.

However, after conversation with the broker, I understood I don't need.

To explain:

I am sending my moto temporarily and circulating with Canadian plates.

As I know, I can do a TIP (temporary import permit with Banjercito) or even do nothing if I am not riding the bike out of the Quintana Roo teritory.

I am temporary resident, aiming to keep the moto in Tulum for the time and using it when I am there.

Is somebody already passed through this process who can share the experience?

In fact I would like to avoid surprises when I clean my bike from customs.

Thank you

@giardeleanu I thought you have to import the vehicle if you are a temp or perm resident? Visitors can temp import I believe.
