Sharing my Harassment story when i was traveling solo

Post new topic

Travelistia

I was traveling from the United States to Columbia when I was harassed. It was a long journey, and I had been on the road for several days. I was tired, but I felt good knowing that my destination was in sight.

The first day of my trip had gone by without incident, but then everything changed.

When I arrived in Mexico City, I found myself surrounded by men who were trying to sell me drugs. These men were aggressive and pushy—they followed me down the street, offering me cocaine and marijuana even after I told them that I wasn't interested in buying anything.

After walking for about an hour in this area, one man grabbed my arm and put his other hand over my mouth so that I couldn't scream or run away. He told me that he would hurt me if I didn't give him money, so of course I gave him all of my cash (about $100). He released me immediately after taking the money from my purse and ran away with his friends before any police could arrive on scene to arrest them for their crimes against humanity (or whatever).

I am sorry for what happened to you, However, I think you should change the title, It is not fair to Colombia. It leads one to believe this happened here. In Mexico I have always been offered these things, but not once here in my more than 2 years. Colombia has come a very long way and we must becareful how we state things that can mislead others
