You can transfer money out of Thailand via your Thai bank. It includes a bit of paperwork, but it's doable.I can even do it via Bangkok Banks mobile banking app.

@North24, yes I have done it. After registration it works like a charm and is cheaper than regular bank transfers

FX rate as well as bank costs
