Tax resident 182 days physical presence

I'm an international student who just recently graduated and have secured a full time job here. Since I have been physically present in Malaysia for more than 182 days in 2023 for my studies, am I considered as tax resident when I start working in January 2024? Or is the 182 days count only for physically present as an employee?
