Being a landlord in Brazil

Post new topic

How are the landlord tenant laws overall in Brazil? Do they tend to favor the landlord more or the tenant?

Have you had any experience renting out single family homes or apartments? If so how did it work out for you? Did you ever have to evict someone? If so how long did the process take?

Hi John - you need to be more specific with your information; the laws may vary slightly according to location (rural x city), but vary a lot according to the length of tenancy (short x long term), and the purpose of your tenancy (holiday x residential).

Probably your best bet might be to sit down and talk to experienced property and rental managers and real estate brokers in your chosen area. They will be able to advise you best.
