What after Single permit/Annex 46 for the student already in Belgium

Post new topic

Hi everyone,

I received my Annex 46, 2 days ago and what I read now I have to report to my commune in 8 work days for the further processing. Anybody has idea what will happen now? Will they give me Annex 49 and then I will have to wait a month or more to get my Physical card A or I can ask them for a fast processing, pay extra and get it done in 2-3 days. Just need my card because have to travel in the weekends outside Belgium. I already have the RP as a student valid until 31.10.2024, will they take it from me?

Thanks in advance.

@PPU since you still have valid residence card, they will just collect your biometrics and your photo to process your new card. You will keep your current card till the new card is ready. Thus, you can still travel.

Thanks a lot for your reply :)

@PPU, I would like to ask you some questions as I am applying for a single permit ( with job offer). I also have a valid RP as student till end of Oct. What are the documents to be provided from our end for the application other than passport , RP and insurance certificate?

Do we need police extract form (standard) and medical certificate? Any medical examinations to be gone through or the cert signed and medical doctor is enough?

Thanks in advance.

@Alvina_Theint hi sorry to answer your question but you actually dont apply for single permit. it is the company who will sponsor you that will apply for you. in my experience: copy of passport, copy of current residence card, police report, medical certificate, health insurance were the documents i forwarded to the person who applied for my single permit.
