EP Renewal pending 2024

Post new topic

Hi everyone, I am an indian 32 yrs working in sg since 2017. my Employment Pass renewal was submitted on 9th October 2024. My background screening was completed within a week before applying to MOM. On 24th October, MOM requested my full resume, which I provided the same day. Till today my application is still pending. My colleague is in the same situation; his renewal was submitted on the same date, and he was also asked for his resume, with no update since then. I’ve heard that if an application takes this long, it’s more likely to be rejected. Is there still a chance for approval in cases like this? My employer is one of the big mnc.

If you did not receive a final decision yet, it means exactly this: No decision has been made yet.

Hi, same here, but you have more experience and have been in Singapore since 2017. In my case, I am a fresher and was hired as a data scientist. My company applied for the EP in July. The first time, they asked for my full resume and some other supporting documents, which the company prepared and shared with them. After about a month, the application status was still pending, and MOM (Ministry of Manpower) requested additional company details, such as the number of employees, their salaries, the number of foreign employees, and the number of local employees, etc. They also asked for a document outlining the steps the company took to hire me, and how many local candidates were interviewed for the same role. The company prepared and shared this with MOM last week. The EP is still pending.

However, since you have experience and this is a renewal case, the chances of approval are higher for you. It might take some time, but it should eventually be approved.
