I’m a nurse practitioner and work on a contract in Iraq. I married an Iraqi and we were waiting for his visa to the states even though I really didn’t plan to go back to the states. Now his visa is going to take forever and my contract is ending. I want to stay in Iraq but I know nurses don’t make much money and nurse practitioners aren’t recognized as health care providers. I am not fluent in Arabic so finding a job may be difficult. I’d love to be able to open a clinic somehow but I think that’s impossible. I’m fairly familiar with Erbil but am considering Suleimania or Duhok as well.
