Which pass to stay on for a time being

Hi all,

need your advice on the below matter:

My wife used to work in Singapore till Sep 2024 and after losing her job she was on visit pass.

We applied for a visit pass in November which will going to be expire on 5th Jan. In the meantime she got a job and the company will apply for pass on and after 13 Jan. Now we in the confusion:

Apply DP and wait for company to apply Pass where DP might take 2 weeks and in 2 weeks company applying for employment pass. Does DP application clash with EP application.
Go outside of Singapore and apply tourist visa and Wait for employment pass to apply.
