Help to sell my brazilian properties

Post new topic

kdlehr

i have had no success with my current estate agent in Divinopolis , minas Gerais and therefore looking to find a different contact.

i came across a brazilian lawfirm  that

would deal with all aspects of propertie selling including sending the proceeds to my account abroad,

has anyone had any dealings with this company or share a review?

the company is on the internet as Oliveiralawers

The proposal from them sounds almost to perfect for what i need.

regards

This is an established and known US/Brasilian law firm with a strong presence on YT. They are not real estate agents. Members here have used them for other matters AFAIK. I have had no dealings with them personally.

Perhaps the problem is not your RE agent, but the local market and the pricing of your properties.

thanks for your reply

i will look again into the current prizing

@kdlehr, @kolyaS122HSU I agree! Anyone who has been on YouTube has probably come across them. I have no doubt they are qualified; however, they will state that they can do ANYTHING, regardless of whether they have experience or training it it.    They seem to be good people, but I would ask for references in the specialty you are calling for. Good Luck

We built our houses, so I have no background in listing Brazilian Properties. Just a fun fact my late father and his father built our houses in R.I. as well.

In my experience it is a waste of time trying to use estate agents or attorneys to sell from elsewhere in Brazil - you must stick with those that are close to your property. By all means change them, (and you can have as many as you want if you have not signed exclusive deals with any of them, but stay local...

My experience here is that I have bought 3 properties, with two purchases being completed directly with the owners and no agents involved, just my lawyer. The last one we bought was represented by an agent, and the owner lived in Santos, SP, so, we dealt with them as we had no choice.

I have sold one property here by myself and had no issues whatsoever. The biggest hassle was getting rid of agents constantly calling and asking to list the property. Funny thing is here you can have the identical property listed by 5+ agents at once, which does not happen in the North American market due to regulations.

If you don't live here your hands are tied and you have no choice, so, take Peter's advice.

IMHO I have no respect for nor time for 98% of people in this occupation, and the 2% that come across as credible, sell properties above the price range I like. Good luck !!
