Where to move?

Post new topic

Hi everyone,

My husband and I and my 4 year old are thinking of moving to Spain. We are thinking of these 3 areas and not inside the cities, we are looking to live max 30 minutes outside these cities. Valencia-Alicante-Murcia.

Our plan is to make one of these place our forever home. Would be great to know which area is great for raising a kid and schooling. It doesn’t matter if the school is public or private.

Also high summer temperatures doesn’t matter. I was raised in one of the hottest places in Arizona and heat isn’t an issue.

Hi @Lulu L23! I'm from Argentina and I have been living in Valencia for a year and a half with 3 children aged 5, 10 and 13. We live in a neighborhood 2km from downtown and it's very family-friendly. The children go to a public school and we're having a very good experience about that. Close to Valencia, less than 30 minutes as you mention, there many places. If you rather the beach, Porto Sagunto, La Pobla de Farina's, El Puig, Albuicech are lovely quiet areas and even with a possibility of finding a place in developments with services such as a pool. If you prefer more towards the mountains, Bétera and La Eliana are also nice options. It's a very broad topic, but if you have more question after this you can keep asking me here or you also can find me in my blog (where I write about living in Valencia) pequenosygrandesviajeros.com.ar and I will try to help you. I know it's not that easy finding the right place without knowing.
