Cost Of living In kampala

Hi,
I'm from India and will be relocating to kampala soon.I would like to know the cost of living in Kampala.
I'm a vegetarian and would be moving in along with my spouse...
Can somebody help me undersand how much it would require for the 2 of us on monthly basis....

Ganesh,

You can get a 2 BHK here for UGX 600,000
Your food expenses UGX 300,000

1 USD - 2,900 UGX

You can travel using Boda Bodas (hired bikes) within town for min 1,000 to max 5,000 within city
Can use taxi (mini buses) for min 500 to 1,000
Special hire (taxi) for minimum 5,000 to 20,000

Petrol 3,900 / liter

Most of the places here are secure and safety is not an issue
You however need to be careful always

Can get a house maid for 60,000 to 150,000 per month who will do all the house hold work and cooking as well
