buying groceries vs. eating out

Hello,

How much could someone expect to spend on 5 or 6 day's worth of groceries, for one person one meal a day? And say I went out to eat on the weekends, what is the average cost of a decent meal?聽 I don't like to eat fast food but also don't need a five star restaurant.聽

I'll be in a suburb in Kampala.聽 Are costs higher in the city center vs suburbs?

Welcome to Kampala.
One meal on weekend聽 should cost you around 15-20 USD , A star and a normal restaurant would not much differ.
Staying at suburbs is cheap.., depends what is your definition for cheap?
Grocery 1 meal one day for 6 days should cost you approximately 40 USD in total.
