We invite all the ones who got married in Papua New Guinea or who are about to get married in Papua New Guinea to participate in this thread :)

What are the formalities to get married in Papua New Guinea? Is it the same for a couple of foreigners of for a mixed couple (between a foreigner and a native of Papua New Guinea)?

Are the procedures complicated?

How long does it take to carry out all the formalities?

Can I marry some on in png if I do have with me a Fijian marriage certificate ?

If you have a certificate stating you are married to someone else in another country then you cannot get married in PNG.
