ESL teaching Taiwan

Hi,

I teach now in Vietnam, but am ready to explore another Asian country and am looking into Taiwan.聽 I have a DWAI on my criminal record, but I am clean otherwise.聽 Would that be a problem in Taiwan?聽 Also, do most teachers move to Taiwan and hit the concrete looking for a job?聽 Any advice on the transition would be appreciated. I am an American, so I am a native speaker. Thanks again!

Hi Ted, I think you would be well-advised to contact 聯Hess International Educational Organization聰 and see what they have to offer you in Taiwan. My son teaches English in Taipei and he is doing very well there. hess.com.tw/en

Hi, thanks for your response!聽 I heard about Hess, I think I will give them a try, thanks!聽 I figure Saigon must have been fun too back in 1965 and 1966!聽 I would have liked to see how it has changed over the past 40+ years and how it looked back then!聽 :-)
