Host families for language student

hi everyone, I keep seeing adverts by language schools for Maltese host families for their students. Does anyone have an experience as a host? Would they consider non Maltese?
I am just curious.

There are host families and host families. Unfortunately not all are good. Some people who hast students can't even host themselves and when I see them I wonder how on earth they are keeping students.
I suggest you do some research and speak to the Language schools. If I am not mistaken, some schools have contracts with small hotels to house students. I stand to be corrected, so check things out.
Do your homework well.

Hi, thank you for your response. Actually I was curious, because I had a similar plan before we moved to Malta, but the small ads here always emphasize that they are looking for Maltese families. ( We are obviously not Maltese and non native English speakers)
