I'm new as well. I don't have an answer to your answer but I've seen camels in my roads to Qassim >> Madain Salih.
I think you can ask those bedouins riders if you can ride one of there camels (if you speak arabic a little).

you can go to Thomamah
you will find horses and camels
I think you can ride it 10 SR for 15 minutes .

I think you should reconsider getting close to camels these days since it has been proven that they are the origin of Coronavirus or so called Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) and the virus can be transmitted to humans by contacting camels.
