Personally, I have found Ibn Al Nafees to be professional and very efficient for my treatments.  They went out of their way to get my insurance company listed, as well.  I felt very comfortable with the results I achieved.

Other than Ibn Al Nafees which is one of the quality hospitals, I also suggest American Mission Hospital..

I second Debbie's recommendation of Ibn Nafees Hospital, from those listed. The No.2 would be Kims Bahrain, for me.

I do not have experience with any of the others listed.

Thanks for mentioning Amh.  I work with American Mission HospitaI. I'll assure you that it's a good hospital to visit. I'm not trying to advertise here but rather saying out of experience.

No one is saying negative comments about the hospital.  It was not listed for the above reason so it doesn't warrant a discussion here, though I am sure it is a fine place and am happy to hear you have had good experience at that location.

I have just had to make my first visit to a GP. I went to Al Amal because it's the closest to where I live. It's pretty basic but gets the job done. Very quiet and I was seen quickly and dealt with quite professionally.

I wouldn't want to stay the night, but for a GP visit it was okay.

I've got BUPA as well and trust me I've done the rounds here

With Ibn Nafees be careful if you've got BUPA international. Because the chemist doesn't  accept it so you have to pay cash for the meds and get reimbursed. Also some of the Drs there do not accept payments thru insurance so again, cash up front and Reimbursement.

International hospital in jidhafs makes everything painless but they squeeze your insurance. And the Drs are mediocre.

For anything cardiac, BDF is the best. State of the art equipment, excellent doctors... Best in the Gulf. HOWEVER their system's so messed up that it's difficult to get a follow up and no one takes responsibilty for mess ups.

specialist looks pretty and that's about it.

I just realised that I recommended Al Amal last year. Well, in January I had to get some physio for a sports injury and I used Al Amal again.

Unfortunately, the physio was a very inexperienced one and misdiagnosed me. She said I'd torn my Achilles which I knew wasn't the case simply from looking at stuff online. Anyway, after three sessions with her doing work on my Achilles and refusing to look further up my leg where the problem really was, I switched to the In Touch Clinic in Janabiya which is a private physio.

In Touch is excellent all round but you will pay for it. I was happy to, although it was extremely painful, they had me back on my feet in the expected time.

In other words, had I carried on with Al Amal's physio treatment, I'd probably still be living with a nasty injury.

The Team at In Touch at indeed very good and experienced. I know they also help out at the Bahrain Rugby Club.

Glad to hear you managed to get your problem sorted out, and not have to go through incorrect diagnosis and pain of the previous hospital.

In Touch also led to an opportunity to promote my photography as they accepted my work for their Sept/Oct slot for their regular exhibitions.
