Where shall we start first thing first be very open minded this is Africa you are about to move saying that it is not how you think it is.

Social life is there almost most activities you can imagine but you will need to know the city where to find them. people are very friendly and will assist you on all.

Mobile Internet is working and not so expensive but it all depends on how much you will be earning you can live the top life or the .....

As an Expat you will definitely come across things that you are not use to but over all you find everything here just like any other city.

Le temps est bizarrement agréable... sauf de juin à septembre. Il fait généralement beau (mais pas particulièrement chaud) pendant la journée ; les nuits sont fraîches.
Si c'est votre première expatriation, il faudra savoir que l'Ethiopie est un pays atypique, à tous les points de vue. D'ailleurs, les gens du cru ne s'estiment pas africains, c'est dire !
Internet fonctionne, sur les portables aussi, mais pas nécessairement bien. La meilleure solution, c'est l'ordinateur portable et la clé 3G.
L'insécurité est relativement peu importante à Addis. Il y a pas mal de coupures d'eau et d'électricité et la circulation est abominable - il n'y a visiblement pas de code de la route !
Bon courage. Mon mari est de Carcassonne... Nous sommes ici depuis l'an dernier (après 5 ans au Zimbabwe).

I am not aware of international day care... there is an International school but no pre school... but here domestic help is not too expensive so u can hire an live in Nany for about 80 usd ( expat rate)... weather is beautiful here 70-85.. depending on the month. June to Aug is the rainy season...

I know there are some pre- schools around you will have to visit. Housing is not cheap... anywhere from 1500 usd per month to 3000 n more... Old airport is a decent area to live in ..
