Hi David

As you are aware, lots of hotels, resorts, casinos, restaurants, bars etc. are being opened and owners prefer experienced expat managers as the way I see.  Accordingly, I do believe that there are great deal of opportunities for you.

The matter however would be how to approach the owners, since some local owners prefer a candidate being well recognized and introduced by their connected persons/ organizations. Here are some ways:

- Use Google or job search tools such as Navigos, Man Power etc. to apply for the available jobs.

- Apply directly to the Vietnam subsidiaries/ offices of management companies (e.g. Accor). If you used to work for any of those companies, reference letter from those would be a key.

- Search for names of local owners (e.g. Sun Group, Vin Group) and send your application directly. Again, reference letters are the key, if possible, make the application and reference letters in English and Vietnamese translation. Google the news about the hotel, resort, casino projects in construction in Phu Quoc, Ha Long, Hoi An, Ninh Binh, Sa Pa, Con Dao etc. to see the projects as well as names of owners.

- Get introduced to local owners by someone if possible, either local or expat who has connection.

Hope this helps, and good luck.

Warm regards
Nguyet (Moon)
