I was there for 9 months as a language student. what I can say is I freaking love Korea.聽 I think the most important part is to make friends with the local that's how you can really enjoy Korea as a country and not as a tourist. even the food/restaurant that you go it'll be different you'll be able to pick some "slang" as well. you'll never regret living there. winter is coming embrace the cold!
