Post new topic

Jamin_306

Hi, i was just wondering if there are any laws that protect me from loosing my deposit if my contract is cut short from my employers and i have to go back to my own country?

Hi,

Unfortunately, i don't think there is such a rule. If you can speak to your building manager explain him the situation, if he understands may be he could do something.

I am sure if anyone else has more info on the same, they would reply back.

If you have the diplomatic clause in your contract, then you are okay. It should state that on losing your job you can vacate the property at any time giving 1 months notice

Thanks I will check the contract again

Hi Jamin ,

There is a Diplomatic Clause which will protect you to terminate the lease agreement and get a refund for a deposited money,by providing a clear evidence such as cancelled visa by the employer and a ticket going back to your own country, with one month notice.

cheers!

If Diplomatic clause is used and rent is broken then what is the implication of this action if a person returns to Bahrain with new Permit Visa? Will he still be liable for the old rental landlord?

If anyone has the diplomatic clause pls share.

XTang

No.  Once you share your cancelled visa and reach an agreement with your landlord, there is no issue.

even if there is no diplomatic clause and your visa was cancelled then no issue for termination of contract
