New in Mumbai looking for trendy haircut

Post new topic

Emma_Mumbai

Hello everybody !

I come from France (Paris) and I'm very new in Mumbai ! Actually I arrived 1 month ago. What a change of scene ! It is very different from my life in Paris. But I am very happy to have found this forum where I hope we will share some tips and right places to be in Mumbai.
Right now I'm looking for a hair salon where I could get a trendy haircut. Any ideas ?

Thanks for answers !

Christine

Hakim Aalim in Pali Hill Bandra, is a good one I guess. My girl friend used to go there.

Hey thank you for your answers ! Nice of you.
I will try to get more informations with these Hakim Aalim and Myarh since I don't know them.
Yesterday while I was in an auto, I saw a Jean Claude Biguine salon in Bandra. How amazing! I know it from France, I did not know that they were in India too.
Did you guys already enjoy their services ? How is it ?

Emma_Mumbai

Hey ray80: in fact rickshaw have their own technic for hairdressing !;)
Finally I went to that salon I told you about last time: Biguine it's french. Now I have a new haircut and a new colour. I really appreciate the result.
What I appreciated the most was the consultation. Services are personalised and you really think like you're special during these 2 hours. Next time I will try a massage with their products "Biguine Bio" I heard about these products in France. If it is bio it can only be good ! Don't you think so ?

Emma_Mumbai

my new color is mahogany, I really like it !
you're right they make you feel very special in these beauty parlours ... but fortunately for me the bill was not so expensive. I mean it is not cheap but it is affordable and the services I get deserve the price I paid so I'don't regret it (good for me) :)

They have a range of organic products for body and they use it for massage

Emma_Mumbai

Right "these girl told you about the same place" :)
Indee they have also a salon in Bangalore.
You should definitely experience it. Next week I will go for a "Biguine bio signature massage" :):) I am looking forward to enjoying it

It has the potential to be good but badly managed - especially reception.  There is a good French hairdresser there called Marie Charlotte.

I stopped going when I travelled for an hour to get there after making an appointment and the hairdresser didn't turn up - so two hours travel for nothing.

Go to Nalini and Yasmin - Elton - excellent service, Bandra West and very professionally managed business

@ ray80 : hey, you are right to be jealous ray, it was soo good ! OMG, the best massage I have never had, you know that kind of massage you would like it never ends.

@walkerr: hopefully the experience I had was better than yours, actually mine was outstanding. So I'm surprised about your feedback. It is also a French hairdresser who took care of my hair, but her name is Emilie. They are really good and it's such a pleasure to enjoy services from that kind of profesionnals.

Hi all!

I'm Indian.. but know very less about Salons in mumbai. Been in search for a long time now. Anyway, which Salon where you guys talking about in the later posts? There's three Salon mentioned in the whole thread: Myrah, Hakim Alim and Jean Claude Biguine.

Kindly also state the address too. Thanks in advance!

Emma_Mumbai

Hi Hyboin.

I have experienced Jean Claude Biguine Salon at Bandra W. Like I told it to ray80 and walkerr it was really good! Now I go there for my hair and for massages also. Bandra salon is near Mount Carmel Church at 68 Chapel Road.
On their pocket menu it is written that they also have locations at Juhu, Colaba, Lower Parel and Kemps Corner. Hope it will help !
