Canadian looking for online part-time while living in Malaysia

Hi all,

I've been in Malaysia for 6 years, not much to complain about, just looking for suggestions for a problem.

I have Canadian citizenship which would allow me to work in Canada, but I want to live here. Just looking for a quick online job I can do during the night or weekends. I'm trained in graphic design and English / teaching.

The CAD is much higher than MYR so it would be nice to work less and earn more.

Any tips, links or connections would help. Thanks

Can't blame you for wanting to stay in Malaysia - It's a lovely country.
As for the work, start by finding out if it's legal to do so (or if anybody that matters cares).

Currently closing bank accounts for anyone who does not have immigration status such as MM2H etc.

Grammarproofing (see Facebook) offer online proofreading and editing work

Becoming difficult to remain in Malaysia if doing visa runs.

Yea, tell me about it. I used to do visa runs but was able to stay here on a long term stay visa (LTSV). After a few runs, they ask you to "go back to your country of origin". Unless you really wanna stay here, you might have to go back.

I'll look at the grammerproofing.com - looks pretty cool!
