is it a good place for a 40 year old single guy (me) to meet nice gf material single women? What other cities in Brazil would you recommend? I am considerring Florianópolis and Fortaleza

Don't know other cities live in Rio, yes it's great to meet girls but I came here married. I've been to many cities but vacation or passing through, Brazil has its pros and cons, for me the weather is tops, I'm from NYC, tired of cold, ice, wind etc. Other perks medical is fairly cheap even ER visits without insurance, pharmacies no prescriptions unless a doctor gives one just tell them the name of the medicine. Driving aggressive but never get stopped by the police as compared to NY. Park anywhere you want. Beer and food are cheaper as is rent and property tax ridiculously low. The cons shopping, driving, food variety and gas prices are better in the states, also the yearly registering of you car is outrageous, don't really go out at night unless I have too. People like Americans, music, films etc, it's also there second language though few speak English. With the new president things should get even more American.

Meeting girls ????  Try some mail order bride catalogues.  I heard Russians are good at it.
