Hello all.

I am soon to marry my Fiance who is a Bahraini national.聽 I am a British citizen. I currently have a 5yr entry visa only. I might try to seek work i might not.

We plan to live together in Bahrain. What rights will my marriage give me?

Residence / healthcare / right to work / banking etc

We will marry in Bahrain.

Absolutely zero rights until or unless she sponsors you for a residence visa.聽 And even then, that is a dependent visa which does not allow you to work.聽 You can look for a job and then employer gives you a work visa.

Either visa will allow you to open bank accounts etc. There is no free health care for non citizens. For basic health care you pay a nominal fee like 7 BD at public health centers.聽 Or have private medical insurance for private hospitals.

I will be sponsored for residency. I wont need to work but it would be nice to also have that option.
