Illegitimate child of a Saudi guy

Post new topic

Divine Domingo

I am a daughter of a Saudi man out of wedlock and my father neglected me. Did not provide for me in any way. Is there anyway that I could file my dad to pay me for his negligence? He is a sheik that lives in Saudi Arabia. Is there any law for me to make him pay for neglecting me?

Hi! Am not sure if your question has been addressed, I am also not conversant with the Saudi laws to give a legal advice, you might well search online for lawyers in Saudi.

In the meantime, please do not overly dwell on looking for ways to punish him for his inactions, rather, find ways to improve yourself, develop your career if your circumstances permits it, I bet you, there is a level you will get to in life and you will see all those who neglected you, coming back in search for you.
At that time, you will make a choice whether to forgive them of their trespasses or pay them back in their own coin.

Hi Divine Domingo,

Kindly note that your thread has been moved to the Saudi Arabia forum since your are talking about saudi arabian laws.

I am not sure that we are the appropriate forum to discuss such matter since we are specialised in expatriation.

However, i would advise you to get in touch with a lawyer as he will be more apt to help you.
Here are some contacts in the business directory : /en/business/middl … s/lawyers/

Hope it helps,

Priscilla

You need to be aware that Saudi does NOT recognize ANY relationship outside of marriage.   So as things stand, you do NOT have any rights.

He can get into trouble if it can be proved that you are his child but if the act took place out of Saudi, again, this will go nowhere.

In any case, the process will be long i.e. years and with no guarantee of any outcome.  I would suggest to let it go and move on.
