Shipping Containers Italy

houstonrooster

We are looking to move from Canada to Italy and would like to use our own shipping container. Trying to find out if we would be able to keep the shipping container on our property located outside of towns or villages.
Thanks ;)

Yes you can.  Usually there's no problem in the countryside.   It's not as though you are trying to make it into a house.  It is by definition temporary, so there is little the authorities can object to.  You may have problems in the most protected parts of Tuscany, but if its in your land, doesnt interfere with the neighbours light, and you dont paint IT fluorescent orange, I dont see a problem.

So happy to read your piece. We just bought a townhouse in Salento region of Italy. We are U.S. citizens I would so appreciate how you found a company for shipping containers so we might be able to ship some things to Italy. Do they have different sizes? I can't find info. How did you do it? Thanks so much.
