Singapore Student Pass

Hi I would like to ask why my application is taking so long to get approved, it's almost four weeks now and the status is still "receiving attention". This is the second time I submitted an application with them, the first one was the beginning of the pandemic which made me change my mind and withdraw my first application (that was a year ago). The second is by mid June this year. The college I'm going to has granted me full scholarship, meals included and facilities etc., also  the expense for  the bankers guarantee, almost everything I need which is stated in my application. However, most my peers are already been approved and it's just me that's left waiting. I heard from forums that July-August are peak season but how come it's only me that is not approved yet in my batch. I heard PEI categories are approved within 2 weeks so was my friends. But it's my fourth week now and nothing is happening.

Four weeks is not a long time for the process - patience is the key here!
If you want, you could contact ICA to ask about the status. They might or might not answer (and it will certainly not speed things up), but this is the only thing you can do, other than wait.

To second Beppi’s comment, every individual and applicant has different credentials, just because others got the approval, doesn’t necessarily mean you ‘must’ and ‘have’ to get it too. Yes, be patient and hope that approval comes through- also note that approvals can take longer, upto 8 plus weeks.

Just wanted to share my cases. I applied student pass for my kids in June on same day. My son 12 years old got approved after exact 2 weeks, but my daughter (10 years old) application is still pending till now (almost 5 weeks). They are all studying in local schools, same sponsor. I don’t know what will be the reason here: gender/age or school 🤔, or different review officer.

The only thing can do is waiting 😊
