Transfer to school from abroad - MoE transfer certificate

zorodzai94

Does anyone have a link to Ministry of Education information on processing school transfer (Grade 9) from abroad to Bahrain ?

I am currently in the process of processing my child's transfer to a private school in Bahrain from abroad and, based on information provided by the school, got copies of his reports and school leaving certificates accredited by Ministry of Education (Rwanda), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Rwanda), UAE Embassy (Rwanda - there is no Bahraini embassy in Rwanda and had been advised any GCC embassy would suffice) as well as Rwanda Embassy in UAE. I now want to submit the documents to MoE here but the school I am transferring to is not really helpful. For those who transferred their kids to local schools how did you go about it and how long does it normally take for MoE to process the transfer certificate ?

Just in case someone else has to go through the process:

As explained in my initial post we do not have an Embassy of Bahrain in Rwanda nor do we have representation of Rwanda in Bahrain hence the process took longer but it is doable.

1. In Rwanda: got school report and leaving certificate from the school (stamped and signed by school head) to Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Rwanda)
2. Took stamped documents to Embassy of UAE (Rwanda) for attestation stamp (if you have Embassy of Bahrain in your country go there instead).
3. Once here dispatched documents to Abu Dhabi for stamping at Embassy of Rwanda (UAE). Documents were collected by a friend who then had them attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi (unfortunately one cannot DHL documents to the Ministry as I did with Embassy of Rwanda, it has to be someone going in person).
4. Received package from UAE and took documents to UAE Consulate office in Diplomat Office Tower building in Diplomatic Area of Manama for another stamp.
5. Took stamped documents to Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bahrain Legal Office for stamping (that was really quick, was done in ten minutes unlike the other stamps).
6. Took documents along with copies of child's passport and CPR  to Ministry of Education in Isa Town. Counter 9 (Private Education Directorate) in Customer Services.  They told me to come back following day (note Counter 9 operate from 9 am to 12 pm) to collect a letter.
7. Returned following day with my documents and was given letter which I then took to Counter 1 in the same building for submission. Was told to wait for 2 weeks after which I will return to collect the equivalency certificate to take to the school and complete admission process............hopefully next week when I go to collect the document I won't be told of another step !!

This document helped a lot, seems there is little documentation on the process:

Thanks for the update.  Massive amounts of stamps due to lack of Bahrain Embassy in Rwanda :).

Dear,

Once your license is expired, You need to take the Driving Test and there is no need to enrol on the driving classes again.

One of my friends who had an Expired Saudi License followed this procedure a year ago. I am not sure whether it is the same or not. You can check with GDT Office.
