I am retired and am planning to move to Moorea in 2 months from now! I have enough聽 funds to support myself and would like some information聽 about required visa

renewals. Can I do that in FP or do I have to return to my home country ?

1. I would like some information on obtaining a driver鈥檚 license and purchasing car insurance in FP.

2. I understand that I will pay very high taxes if I buy a residence before living in FP for 5 years. Can anyone confirm that? I also read that this may be extended to 10 years or that land could only be by long term lease. I am a retired architect and would like to build a small home using FP design techniques and FP contractors.
