Secondment in Singapore

Post new topic

Sahil0207

Hi all,

I need your advice on this.

My friend is on a dependent pass and also 30% share holder in a Singapore company.

Can she apply for letter of consent now and can work for any other company on secondment.

What would be the risks for her in this case?

Thanks in advance!!

Your friend should read the following page:

For more details, she can contact MoM.

According to this, a person can have LOC if he/she is a business director with 30% share holder.

I wanted to know, is there any drawback of this? Like getting a job while holding 30% company shares etc

@Sahil0207 As far as I know, it is not allowed to act as owner/manager/shareholder/director of any business while working in another company on a work pass (WP, S-Pass or EP). Only inactive share ownership is allowed.

And for working in one's own comany, an Entrepass (not a normal work pass) is required.
