If you do not earn enough to get them a DP and want to (ab-)use the student pass route to circumvent this restriction, your chances are low.

Besides, these rules exist to prevent people from falling into poverty: With school fees of at least S$1500/month per kid (international or private school, as your kids have no chance to get into a public one), how would you be able to pay for an adequate life from what remains of your low salary?

Thanks for your reply

you are right as we couldn’t able to get dp, we r trying to use this way to bring them in. But as far as the school fees is considered, it was only $1000 per kid inclusive of all… & we can able to manage from our available savings as well..

pls suggest any supporting (any local sponsor letter or letter from the employer like that) that can be submitted together with the application to enhance approval…

more over we do volunteering services in community temple events & received certificates… can we submit this type of stuffs?

@jeyanthisrini2011 As the rules are there for good reasons, and MoM will not differ from them, you only have two alternatives:

  1. Increasing one of your earnings to above S$6000/month and then get a DP for your kids
  2. Becoming PR

Or, of course, looking for a future in another country, where the barriers of entry are lower.

Good luck!
