Post new topic

Richard_77

Hi
We are coming to puerto gallera for 2 months
Plan was rent a place for a week to find an appartment  my wife and I can rent for 2 months
We require air con and small kitchen swimming pool and beach access
We are divers and sailors and will explore the island on motor bikes
We are semi retired and want to do it all on a budget.
Any thoughts on where to stay.

You wont really need air conditioning in Puerto this time of year...Fans are sufficient...

Wg are not going until the end of November returning to the uk end of January.
We are looking for apartments and dive schools as well as restaurants and good food markets please

We always stay at Apples Dive in Sabang beach. A little cheaper than White beach, but a rocky beach. If you have scooters, can go just about anywhere.

If you are coming here straight from UK, then yes you will need a/c.  But still a 1 bedroom should be pretty cheap (big room at Apples is php 1500. Would recommend just stay at a resort for 1 week and look around. There are a lot of expats (Brits) who go to Apples for the food and you can ask them. Dont book it until you see it.

its good advice of dhinindc to go to sabang and rent a place for a few days and then look around for an apartment for a longer 2 month rental - i believe you will find a wide choice in different range of price groups -  however decamber and january are the coolest months so you are unlikely to need air con but you can judge for yourself when you get there - i keep a holiday house in pg but do not rent it out, however send a message to my inbox when you get there and i will be happy to invite you over for a couple of drinks

Thanks it is good advise
when I am able to contact the people with the condo I will try to book a week first to make sure we like it and it is the same as any pictures we receive we will then be able to confirm our booking for the whole period or find alternative accommodation.
Will there be any difficulty in arriving at the beginning of December and wishing to book for 2 months.
Always happy to meet for a drink.
It might be a case of having a few of the expats over together for a little thank you drink to our accomodation.
Regards
richard
