renewing permesso di soggiorno

Hello everyone!

I have a residence permit that expires next year Feburary and聽 I was just wondering, how early are you allowed to renew a one year permesso di soggiorno?
I think it states "minimum" 60 days you should apply for renewal. So does that mean I can apply 90 days before it expires?

Welcome to the forum.

Yes you can. If you apply after the 60 day minimum your application may take 60 days plus to process.

As you will see, people on here have left it till the last moment, then wonder why the expiry date has passed and they are still waiting for a new card.

When do I have to apply for a permesso di soggiorno? I am a EU citizen (from The Netherlands) and I'm already in Milano. I will be staying in Italy for 5 months (until the end of januari). I already have a codice fiscale.
