and what jobs would it be for minimal salary, has.. i'd be looking to share a flat which with bills is going to be around 400-450 easily?

so 300 euros for the month to live on, sounds very... challenging?

Low paid jobs here are very similar to the ones in the UK, bar, restaurant, shop etc, manual work  mainly work the locals do not want to do.  Many have more then one job, what sort of work were you looking for?

so most people do 2 part time jobs instead of 1 full time job
i would be looking for chef/hotel banquet running and stuff or the casino/gaming side.

maybe i should look  for part time

I would have thought you could get more then minimum wage for the positions you are looking for.

I was at Malta 2016,I think that working hour was 5 euro and 15 cents (5.15) them...as I can remember? Minimal. Prescribed by law.
Is it now biger,or is the same?

Fafanikolau

If you have 5 euros per hour, and 10 working hours per day..that is 50 euros daily...250-300 e per week...1000euros per month.
Minus renting flat or room, something to eat and drink..very chalenging😀

Fafanikolau

If you have luck, you can put a250 euros in a “piggy bankâ€

Statutory Minimum Wage 2018.
    Age 18+ Full-time (40hr)  – weekly rate   €171.51 + €1 mandatory supplement = €172.51
That works out at €4.31 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Some trades have different minimum wages by agreement but the above is the statutory minimum wage and the one most likely to be earned by non Maltese unless they have jobs utilising particular skills which are in high demand.
