Covid19 Vaccination Digital Certificate for those who were vaccinated in Portugal

It is possible to obtain three types of Covid19 Digital Certificate (EU Green Certificate):

-聽 Vaccination certificate, which proves that you have been vaccinated against Covid-19 (it can be issued after the administration of each dose);

-聽 Test certificate, which proves that you have a negative result in a nucleic acid amplification molecular test (TAAN) - RT-PCR, RT-PCR in real time;

-聽 Recovery certificate, which proves you had Covid-19, but now recovered from this disease.

To obtain this certificate, you should access the SNS 24 portal, follow the instructions and choose the type of certificate you want. After validation of your request, this certificate is made available on the portal and you can download it. To improve cross-border acceptance, it is written in Portuguese and English.

Soon it will be possible to obtain these certificates on other platforms, as well as access the certificate for rapid molecular tests.

This certificate is free of charge.

How to access the Covid19 Digital Certificate

- Select "Aceder"
- Choose the box with the certificate you want
- Enter your birth date and SNS user number
- Accept the treatment of your personal data
- Select "Submeter"
- Enter the 8 character code you have received on your mobile phone
- You can download your PDF Certificate.

This certificate will be valid for travel between EU member states, air travel, and soon to attend shows, among other facilities.

AstraZeneca vaccine's 2nd dose gap reduced to 8 weeks under revised plan.

People who have had their 1st dose of AstraZeneca vaccine should wait for an SMS or phone call to reschedule their 2nd dose.

Rapid antigen tests (TRAg)

List of pharmacies with rapid antigen test (TRAg) to be paid by the customer.
Approx. 700 pharmacies.

You should search by the county/"concelho"聽鈥媤here you live.

List of pharmacies offering rapid antigen tests (TRAg) for a maximum fee of 10 eur.
Approx. 190 pharmacies.

This measure is extended for one month (July), possibly renewable, with the aim of intensifying the use of these tests.

This does not apply to users who have the vaccination certificate (with the full vaccination schedule) or the certificate of recovery, nor to those under 12 years of age.聽

I am not very clear on whether or not fully vaccinated French citizens coming from Portugal going to France need to do an antigenic test (or PCR) or if just a certificated of vaccination is enough to board a plane ?

French authorities recommend to not take their vacation in Portugal but yet when I look at the map, it's considered to be a 'green list' country.

From 9th January 22, the vaccination certificate includes information about 3 doses (with the 3rd dose taken at least 14 days ago).

From 10th January 22, those vaccinated with 3 doses are exempted from negative test to enter into restaurants, hospitals, care homes, events, gyms, ...

Does anybody know if it is possible to convert non EU vaccination certificate to the EU format in Portugal? How are recent travelers from US/Brazil handling the situation?

We have converted our Australian certificates to EU format but before we had our 3rd doses, so the EU certificates expire before we get to Lisbon in June 2022. It was possible to do remotely with Swiss government, and this is not an option now as Swiss removed restrictions.聽聽

Thank you John. I've seen and studied this before posting. Australia, USA, Brasil, Japan... are in non-reciprocal category unfortunately.

My question is if there is a path in Portugal to convert other countries certificate into EU accepted format. It was a way to do it in Switzerland (stopped now) and it was possible to do it in France via pharmacy network (I'm investigating this now).

Hi Mikhail,

There is no way to convert certificates. The rules applied in Portugal always follow European guidelines.聽 At this point, there is still uncertainty about non EU certificates. The best thing is to do the PCR test ...

USA covid certificate

The certificate issued by the USA does not yet appear as an equivalent in the EU list:

There are news in Brazilian sites stating that the Brazilian vaccination certificate is accepted in Portugal, but they are not credible. There is still no information available at a credible Portuguese source.

I flew into the uk from Portugal yesterday & they didn鈥檛 want to see any covid certs also a friend of ours flew to Portugal on Friday the 6th May they didn鈥檛 want to see his certs either also you don鈥檛 have to wear a mask in the airport now either, i had mine on & they told me not needed just on the plane.

This is an update on our experience. We flew from Amsterdam to Lisbon on the 14th June by KLM. The announcement was made on the plane just before landing "to prepare for COVID green pass check at the airport". In reality there were no checks during boarding or in the airport after landing. Our daughter flew from London on the 20th June, the situation was the same - no checks.

We flew from the US on June 9. We had to show our New York State digital certificates at check-in but not after arrival.

Arrived from Vienna recently and neigher there nor here were any checks (except ID and boarding pass). Masks were to be worn on the plane, but nowhere else inside the airport. The Re-open EU website says the following:

Travellers aged 12 and above entering mainland Portugal by air or by sea must provide a valid 'EU Digital COVID Certificate' (EUDCC) or equivalent documents containing one of the following:

Proof of full vaccination.
聽聽 Validity: between 14 and 270 days after the full primary vaccination series was administered, or until further notice after the booster dose. For people younger than 18, the primary vaccination series is valid until further notice.

聽聽 Proof of recovery from COVID-19.
聽聽 Validity: between 11 and 180 days after the positive test result.

聽聽 Negative result to a pre-departure test. Accepted tests:
聽聽 - molecular (PCR) tests, valid 72 hours
聽聽 - rapid antigen tests, valid 24 hours, based on the European Commission's list of rapid antigen tests.

Travellers who enter Portugal by air or sea and who do not hold an 'EU Digital COVID Certificate' (EUDCC), nor an equivalent certificate, must provide a negative result to a pre-departure molecular test, valid 72 hours, or to a rapid antigen test, valid 24 hours, based on the European Commission's list of rapid antigen tests.

However and to my knowledge, no checks are being performed. Portugal is the most effected by C19 country in Europe (or even the world?), but Portugal requires proof from people entering, while e.g. Spain doesn't. Maybe somebody understands that, because I don't.
