Legal leaves in Belgium as a newcomer

I was informed that by local law you have to wait until the next year to claim any holidays as a worker. Then my helpful colleagues informed me you can, through certain institutes, provide proofs to the hr of their company you are studying outside of work and get holidays in exchange. This applies by academic calendar, Sep to Sep. As this certificate seemed necessary, I cannot just take courses online for this benefit. They all found institutions in Brussels. I wonder if people in Walloon area have awareness of this system and can provide me a list of them and your experience. Thank you

The rule is as follows: in Belgium, you deserve paid leave proportional to the working months of the previous calendar year (January-December); or depending on the study months of the previous academic year (September-August) - this last measure not to deprive people who start working at the end of their studies. Proof of the months of work or education required is necessary to obtain this leave.
