Dear all, I am an IT consultant and I am going to change the company and my new employer will apply for IPA.

So once i receive the IPA, DO I need to join new company immediately or i can delay joining. If i can delay my joining then what the maximum period i can hold.

Please help.

Thank you.

You do not need an IPA to join the new company - you need a work pass!

Hi All,

I just want to get some advise. So I am currently on S-Pass transitioning to E-Pass. My last day of work with S-pass will be on the 31st of May. My new company has applied me an EP and it has been approved. I have already gotten the IPA from them.

My question is, should I request for a short-term visit pass when my current employer cancel my S-Pass? Or IPA should be enough and no need short term visit pass?

Thank you.

An SVP is automatically issued on cancellation of the S-Pass. But the IPA would also be sufficient - unless your new job's start date is more than 30 days after your last day of work.

@beppi my last day of the current one is on the 31st of May, and will start the new one immediately. So I guess I don’t need stvp. Thank you!
