E Pass Renewal is still Pending from last 5 Weeks but pass expired

Post new topic

Hi ,

I would like to share my concern as my E pass Renewal requested on 2nd week of August and it is still pending and my EP got expired today, but my company got the temporary extension of 1 month immediately after applying for it.

My worry now is how much it will take more almost 6 weeks now  :( , my employer called twice MOM they asked MOM to fast track the application but no results yet, FYI, my employer just got renewals of employees in April this year, it's a small but good firm. Patience and waiting are too much now. Please help if you have any input from anyone.

Can COVID and work from home for MOM officers be a condition for the delay?

MoM seems to hold back a lot of work pass applications and renewals at the moment (and many others are rejected - read related forum posts!) and COVID might of course have something to do with it. But even before that, work pass requirements went up and criteria were tightened.
At least you got a temporary extension, so can continue to work for now. Be glad!
Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to speed up MoM's process or force them to ake a decision (short of cancelling your work pass). So even if it is difficult, you must be patient!

Hi Beppi thanks for the prompt response , yes exactly patience is the only key right now because I could see the time taken even for renewal cases might be 2 months as well in some cases , and also I must say this employer is good to work for.

Let's hope for positive ðŸ™ðŸ¼

Finally, Renewal Approved guys Today Morning  :)  50th day to be precise. Patience and wait are the keys if everything is well and clear then won't be an issue.

Congratulations srihar, my renewal application submitted on 13th Aug, MoM asked for renewed contract around 1st week of September. 3 weeks completed after submitting additional documents. Current EP expiring on 13th October, hopefully I get approval before that.

Yes exactly just wait for sometime , if documents are fine then won't be a problem you will get an approval soon , mine was full time and also in worst case if expiry is one week ahead then your employer can go for 1 month extension request on online MOM portal.
